About The Event

The Mississippi Electric Meter School was a vision of the Electric Cooperatives of Mississippi (ECM) engineering and operations section and Mississippi Power Company. In November of 2015, a committee was put together and charged with the task of hosting a school by the fall of 2016. The goal – to bring meter personnel and professionals, from across the industry, together to present information on common problems and solutions, standard practices, and emerging new technologies. The first school was held on September of 2016.

For 2019, this year’s school offers a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of metering, communications and networking, and apparatus, all in the same place. Sessions are offered for the beginner meterman through seasoned professionals – there is something for everyone. In addition to the educational aspects, the school also offers and excellent opportunity for vendor interaction with all levels of metering personnel.

The school is open to any and all persons interested in learning more about electrical metering and the industry that is behind it.
